Terina project’s handmade garments transfer the magic of children’s creativity onto fabric in order to dress the adult body.
The idea behind the project combines the creator’s past and present and her years of contact with the authentic and unpretentious art of children.
The imprints of children’s representations full of colour, imagination and creativity became the inspiration for printing with ecological dyes on natural fabrics. Clothes and other creations are made to connect worlds, tell stories and add a special dimension by combining childlike innocence and imagination with adult aesthetics.
The creative process begins with the collection of children’s drawings, the processing and composition of a new performance on the fabric that leads to co-creation and communication with the adult world. Thus, each drawing retains its unpretentious form, capturing the children’s authenticity and imagination.
Small “miniature” works of art take shape from small pieces of fabric, bringing to life the art of fabric recycling. The variety of colors, textures and patterns of environmentally friendly offcuts offering endless possibilities for creative expression.
Each artifact in the collection is made with love, attention to detail, inspired by the innocence and joy of children’s creativity.
